Our Team

Marie Himle
Admissions Director
Marie has been a dedicated nurse for over 10 years and has been a valued member of our team for nearly 8. She graduated from Minnesota State College Southeast and now serves as our Admissions Director, helping new patients and their families feel welcomed and supported from day one. Known for her warm personality and attention to detail, Marie ensures a smooth transition into care. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in Wisconsin with her beloved cows and spending time in Kansas attending demolition derbies.

Alayna Johnson
Alayna has a bachelors degree in psychology with a minor in counseling and has past experience working at a mental health clinic. She is excited to learn and grow in the field and enjoys meeting and supporting residents through transitions in their life. She grew up in the Rochester area and loves being home close to family. In her free time Alayna, loves to go for walks and lift at the gym, play guitar, and volunteer with her church.

Rachel Heveron, CTRS
Life Enrichment Director
Rachel recently moved from Billings, MT to join the staff here at The Homestead at Rochester. Growing up, she always had a passion for working with people in underserved populations. After wanting to be more of a voice for these individuals, she went to college at the University of Northern Iowa for Therapeutic Recreation. She worked at the National Ability Center in Park City, UT and discovered that individuals with varying abilities can still do most things–adapted. “People of all abilities can be successful and reach new heights when others treat them with respect and kindness,’ said Rachel. She knew she would end up back in the Midwest and is happy to make Rochester her home.

Cailie Peters
Director of Human Resources
Cailie has a double major in Business Administration and Human Resources from Winona State University and a Master’s from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. She originally is from Wabasha and considers Rochester the big city, but loves being only 5 minutes from Target. Her “kid” Stella Bean is a Doberman who she adores. Fun fact: She loves snacks, is a big traveler, enjoys lifting weights at the gym.

Tony Bauer
Director of Environmental Services
Tony brings a plethora of experience and energy from various positions throughout his life. His experience is mostly in construction—even owning his own construction company in Georgia for many years. He couldn’t stay still when he “retired,” and decided to move to Minnesota to be closer to his wife’s family. His wife, Dr. Heidi Halla-Bauer, is a psychologist, and he has two sons. A fun fact is he played minor league baseball for the Augusta Green Jackets. In his spare time, he serves as a board member on the Southeast Minnesota Health Care Coalition, and coaches hockey and baseball.
