HYATTSVILLE, Md., April 29, 2025 – Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS) and CCI Health Services are proud to announce the opening of a new Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) center in Prince George’s County, Maryland. The center, Senior CommUnity Care of Maryland PACE, will host a public grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 22 at 831 Brightseat Rd., Hyattsville, MD 20785.
The new PACE center will provide comprehensive healthcare services designed to help seniors remain independent and thrive in their communities. The program offers a holistic approach to care, including medical, social, and behavioral health services tailored to each participant’s unique needs.
“For many seniors, the greatest wish is to remain in the comfort of their own homes as they age,” said Kelly Fields, executive director of Senior CommUnity Care of Maryland. “Our team of healthcare professionals works together to address every aspect of a senior’s well-being – physical, emotional, and social. We’re not just treating medical conditions; we’re enhancing quality of life and providing peace of mind for families.”
PACE is a program under Medicare and Medicaid that provides comprehensive medical and social services to eligible seniors. For most participants, these services and the overall PACE healthcare model enable them to remain in the community they love rather than receive care in an institutional setting.
Senior CommUnity Care of Maryland PACE offers various services, including adult day health care; primary and specialty medical care; prescriptions and medication management; physical, occupational and speech therapies; transportation; social programs; meal assistance; and respite services for caregivers. Participants receive an individualized care plan developed by a team of healthcare professionals who work collaboratively to ensure the best possible care.
“We’re thrilled to partner with VOANS to support seniors in our community,” said Sonya Bruton, CEO and President of CCI Health Services. “At CCI, we believe that empowering individuals is key to their health and well-being. The PACE program embodies that spirit of empowerment – helping older adults continue living the communities they cherish, with the support they need to thrive.”
Senior CommUnity Care of Maryland PACE is for seniors age 55+ who wish to receive holistic healthcare services and remain in their own homes. The program is designed to provide comprehensive care to older adults who wish to age in place.
VOANS welcomes the public during the upcoming ribbon cutting ceremony where light refreshments will be served, and attendees will have the opportunity to tour the facility and meet the staff.
