VOANS Names Dee Dee Beaty as New Senior Vice President of Housing

May 29, 2024 — Volunteers of America National Services, an affordable housing developer and senior healthcare provider with operations nationwide, welcomes Dejernette (Dee Dee) Beaty as senior vice president of housing beginning June 24.

Beaty joins VOANS after serving as the chief real estate officer of the Atlanta Housing Authority (AHA) for the last 14 months. In that role, her responsibilities were to direct the overall administration and management of the Real Estate Group’s activities which included real estate planning and development; construction management; real estate underwriting; and asset and property management. In total, Beaty spent 14 years at AHA climbing the ranks and serving in positions such as asset manager, director of asset management, deputy chief of real estate operations and finally chief real estate officer.

Prior to joining AHA, Beaty worked at Formation Capital, LLC, where she was the Asset Manager overseeing the financial and operational performance of a skilled nursing and assisted living portfolio. Beaty has an Master of Business Administration from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from South Carolina State University. Also, she is a proud product of affordable housing as a child and in her own words, “not only am I passionate, affordable housing is personal for me.”
