Vice President of Housing Compliance installed at NAHB International Builders’ Show

ORLANDO, April 6, 2026—Robert Easterling, Vice President of Housing Compliance at Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS), was officially installed to the Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) Board of Governors in February, during its fall meeting held in conjunction with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) International Builders’ Show in Orlando. He will serve two consecutive three-year terms.

The HCCP Board of Governors is comprised of 22 representatives from various segments of the low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) industry, including NAHB members, staff of state housing finance agencies and other LIHTC professionals. The Board serves the educational needs of NAHB members involved in the LIHTC segment of the housing industry, promotes designation programs, and advances ethical standards in affordable housing compliance. In addition to his role on the Board of Governors, Easterling is also currently serving on the Designation Development subcommittee.

“Being appointed to the HCCP Board of Governors is an incredible honor and a tremendous opportunity to give back to the affordable housing industry,” Easterling said. “I look forward to contributing to the advancement of education and professional standards that benefit LIHTC practitioners nationwide.”

Easterling has worked in the affordable housing industry since 2003 and in compliance management since 2005, specializing in LIHTC, HOME, tax exempt bond, NSP, public housing, and various Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) multifamily Section 8 programs. He joined VOANS as Director of Housing Compliance in 2023 and was promoted to Vice President of Housing Compliance in 2024. Easterling is also a Commissioned Minister for Volunteers of America.

“Robert’s appointment to the HCCP Board of Governors is a tremendous reflection of the caliber of leadership we have at VOANS,” said David Jefferson, vice president of real estate operations. “Having on of our own at the table of this nationally recognized body emphasizes our organization’s deep commitment to compliance excellence and our responsibility to help shape the standards that guide our entire industry.”
