Divina Alston, LCSW
Executive Director
Divina has spent her career serving vulnerable populations with compassion and leadership. With 15 years in mental and behavioral health, she joined MMALR/VOA in 2012, later becoming a licensed Assisted Living Administrator and VOA Commissioned Minister. Divina values the close-knit community at MMALR and the daily opportunity to make a difference. A Virginia resident for 38 years, she enjoys mysteries, beach days, festivals, and being a new grandma. Her warmth, positivity, and dedication make her a cherished part of the team.
Tajuana “TJ” Alston
Director of Life Enrichment
TJ joined the MMALR leadership team in November 2024, bringing 25 years of experience in senior care. Passionate about creating joyful, meaningful engagement, TJ is known for her energetic, inclusive approach that has boosted resident satisfaction and overall wellness. A proud mother of four and grandmother to Princess Aaliyah, she also enjoys thrifting for unique treasures.
Shelia Daniels, RN
Director of Nursing
Shelia is a seasoned Registered Nurse with 37 years of experience, including roles in cardiac care, home health, hospice, corrections, skilled nursing, and now assisted living at MMALR, where she joined in 2018. Originally from Southern Maryland, Shelia brings strong clinical skills and a passion for serving residents and staff. She’s been married to her husband Roy for 45 years, has two sons, and enjoys traveling, singing, and swimming.
Stephanie Lacy, LCSW
Director of Resident Services
Stephanie has been practicing in Virginia since 2017 and joined MMALR in May 2022. Known for her compassion, energy, and dedication, she goes above and beyond for her residents. Family-oriented and adventurous, Stephanie enjoys traveling, trying new foods, and never starts her day without coffee.
Tsering Amdo
Business Office Manager/HR Manager
Tsering is the Business Office Manager at MMALR, bringing over 16 years of experience in the Assisted Living industry. With a strong background in business processes and HR, she specializes in optimizing workflows, onboarding staff, building employee relations, and managing accounts payable and receivable. Based in Northern Virginia, Tsering enjoys family time, music, dancing, travel, and the outdoors. She finds the most joy in working closely with staff and residents, fostering a supportive, compassionate work environment.
Omar Jaurez
Environmental Services Director
Omar has proudly served as Environmental Services Director at Mary Marshall Assisted Living since its opening in 2011. Before that, he worked as superintendent for Hamel Builders, overseeing the building’s transformation into the community it is today. With 44 years of experience in construction and remodeling—including carpentry, tile work, electrical, plumbing, and more—Omar brings a wealth of hands-on expertise to MMALR every day. He looks forward to continuing his service until retirement in the coming years.
Harry Young
Culinary Director
Harry, a Washington, DC native and Army veteran, joined MMALR as Culinary Director in May 2024 after over 30 years in the food service industry. A proud father and grandfather, Harry is dedicated to creating warm, home-like dining experiences that support residents’ well-being. He enjoys traveling, jazz, art, cooking, and eating blue crabs.
