November 27, 2023 – We’re excited to share that Volunteers of America was featured on FOX News Channel, the top-rated national news network, yesterday afternoon. Our very own Lee Goldstein, Director of Housing Initiatives, did a three-minute interview on the innovative ways we are providing affordable housing for homeless veterans. From refurbished shipping containers to repurposed tiny homes, VOA is developing accessory dwelling units in multiple communities across the country, working to provide cutting-edge housing solutions for our nation’s heroes. November 9, 2023 – Presenting The Oaks, our newest senior housing project just delivered in Dallas. 260 mixed-income rental units serving primarily lower-income seniors in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas, featuring luxury amenities, improved public infrastructure, resident services, technology and health supports for aging in place, and a community health clinic, not to mention a great view of downtown from the roof deck! October 18, 2023 – Cadence is a 55-unit senior apartment building developed by Volunteers of America – National (VOANS) offering one- and two-bedroom apartments at 20-80% AMI, with an average AMI of 51%, demonstrating deep affordability. The building was designed to meet a critical need for senior housing in Fort Collins and support the independence and well-being of residents as they age in place. This critical and high-quality senior affordable housing serves the goal of uplifting seniors and allowing them to live independently at this site as long as they are able, rather than moving into more costly healthcare-related housing.
